Dayenu: New Zealand Jews Against Occupation is a Jewish community organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand. Founded in 2016, our purpose is to advocate for Jewish pluralism, and foster community amongst anti-Zionist Jews in Aotearoa.
Our members
Dayenu is committed to promoting Jewish traditions of education, study, critical thinking, tikkun olam (repairing the earth) and tzedek (social justice). Our members are Jewish people living in Aotearoa or Jewish New Zealanders. Our members are pro-Jewish and anti-Zionist.
Dayenu is a membership-based organisation and an incorporated society. Dayenu is an organisation for Jewish people by Jewish people.
If you are a Jewish New Zealander you are welcome to join. Our members:
* self-identify as Jewish (secular is an acceptable way of being Jewish)
* comfortably identify as anti-Zionist. You can find the definition in the About section.
* have at least one Jewish parent or grandparent, or have been through a recognised conversion process.
* sign up to our Code of Conduct.
Annual membership fees are on a sliding scale of $10-$75 depending on your self-assessed ability to pay. Membership fees (and donations) can be paid to our TSB bank account:
